17 & Driving

Guess who finally almost got her license? yep, this girl! Virginia's driving laws are terrible and it was unfair of the DMV to make me wait so long to get my license..... and then after I passed all the tests and drivers ed I had to wait, and wait, and wait for the court date so that I could get my actual hard copy. yes, court date. I have to go before a judge, who will grant me my license. BUT ALAS on September 25th, I will have an actual license, not just a silly paper that says I'm a licensed driver. Happy are here again! :)

A Little Gathering

This evening was nothing special, just a starry night filled with; fun, friends, and cake! Mocha and chocolate cake to be exact. The festivities included volleyball, a photo booth, good music, and a movie on the lawn. Although I turned 17 way back in July, I wasn't able to celebrate it with all of my family and friends until now. This night was mine to spend with the friends I hadn't seen all summer. Also it was the night I realized I was getting old because it took me 6 times to blow out all my candles. :)

Instagram'n and Drives Ed

agh, why is it so hard to get a drivers license in the state of Virginia? It seems like its the most difficult thing in the world! I started behind the wheel Thursday. We shall see how this goes. My instructor is a little odd but that's ok I guess. I would probably feel better about the class if my driving partner knew how to drive at least a little bit. Poor Mr. Roy is trying so hard to be nice - its easy to tell he's aggravated. "Slow down please Stewart. Slowww down. slowww down" "ACCERLATE STEWART! ACCELERATE! acceleraterRRRRrRRrrrrrr" Its almost funny to watch but I never laugh.

My high school art class has started and i was inspired to draw/color, also i was watching a mermaid movie so yeah.... school has started, and college has started, and free time has ended. I feel as if i should keep on writing about something because posts are not meant to be this short. huh...

A womp bop a looma a womp bam boom!

So you may be wondering why i have not posted any pictures of my recent OBX trip, and the sock hop ect. well as you can tell by the name of this post the pictures in this post are most likely going to be the sock hop photos. Sadly there are no OBX photos because we never got to go. We didn't get to go because it was raining, very windy, and there was some major fog.So instead we drove over to the board walk ran into freezing ocean and ran back to the van where my mom was blasting the heat and turning on the seat warmers for us. {yes we had a polar plunge} sadly because of how fast everything happened i did not take any photos. But you should be happy to know that for the rest of the day my friend and i did nothing but bum it out, eating food and watching Johnny English Reborn. great day no? but anyhoo i present to you le SOCK-HOP!

a tribute to picnik...

on the 18th. picnik, my favorite photo editing website shut down. It happened to be the only photo editing program i really liked. It was user friendly and for premium members like me, the yearly subscription was reasonably priced.

I have done so much and gone so far using picnik. It helped me with editing photos for my school {homeschool} yearbook for the past 3 years and in making sisters Graduation Cards.

and so.. i would like to say thank you to the picnik team for the amazing website you make! RIP Picknik! :)

 above: is a very close friend of mine. everyone always thinks we are sisters or twins. Funny part is her last name is Zach like mine hers is just spelled Zack. But originally it was spelled with an H. and their family comes from the same part mine did in Germany. weird no? haha yeah i just changed my eye color and kinda gave her a nose job. haha we always laugh at this photo!

its kinda sad because i had a lot more photos that were saved on our home computer.  But when it crashed i not only lost all the photos of my dog and other stuff but also the ones from picnik. :(  ... I'll will try and find one of my sisters graduation card to show you all....

if you used to use picnik and cant find something to replace it i would suggest pic monkey. picnik gave a lot of its technology to that site. And its completely free even the premium stuff on their... thats what i use now, well that and photoshop {but i'm still trying to figure out photo shop so mainly pic monkey!}

thoughts on clouds....

 lovely sky no? Have you ever looked up and realized the clouds look like flat fluffs of white that belong on the ceiling of some famous church or building in Italy? Or like the ones in the pre-school wing at church painted onto the walls? Sometimes i could just stare at them all day looking for some flaw. A sign that they are not real. Something that says the sky is just one amazing large canvas and God is the artist....  {with one HUGE paint brush}

Pictures of the recent trip i took to lynchburg coming soon! Also I'll be taking lots of pictures this week also  when i go to the Outer Banks, Planetarium, and my schools Sock-Hop! Have a great week/week-end everyone!

Happy Easter - He is Risen!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey guys! I hope you all had a great easter weekend! I had so much fun dyeing eggs and making easter-e-ish cookies this week with my bestie Mackenzie!

yes. so most of them are easter-e-ish some i just had to make, well, special. :D The Hunger Games cookie took me a while considering i basically drew it with a tooth pick... {i told my mom i kinda felt like a tattoo artist, except instead of an arm or wrist it was a cookie and instead of a needle or what-ever they use *shudder it was a tooth pick with a glob of red frosting!} haha i can amuse myself so much at times! anyhoo happy easter everyone!
