Ally Carter. (author)
Ally Carter graduated from the Oklahoma State University and Cornell University. Her first young-adult novel (which was rumored to have been optioned by Disney as a film) was I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You. It is the story of a girl who goes to a prestigious spy school and what happens when she falls for a normal boy and has no idea who she really is inside. The sequel to I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You, titled Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy was released in 2007 in the US. It chronicles the second semester of Cammie Morgan's sophomore year and her "self-assigned" mission against the mysterious boys from another spy school who have moved into her own school unannounced. Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy was on the New York Times Bestseller List for 10 weeks. The third book of the Gallagher Girls series, Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover, is about Cammie and her friends' efforts to protect their friend Macey after a kidnapping attempt. It was released in June 2009 in the US.The fourth book of the Gallagher Girls series, Only the Good Spy Young, is about the aftermath of Cammie discovering that the Circle of Cavan is after her. There is a rumor that there will be a fifth Gallagher Girls book in the near future. Which made me ecstatic! I quickly went to the Ally Carter fan page and checked to see if it was true! and drummer roll please........ IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! i so want to do my happy dance! it is going to come out in March 2012..... sadly thats not for a year but i'm just glad another one is coming out!
Ally's second young-adult book/series separate from the Gallagher Girls is the story of a girl named Kat, with the title Heist Society, whose family business is thievery. Kat's father is suspected to have stolen a mafia group boss's paintings. The only way Kat can save her father is by finding who stole them and stealing them back. The sequel to this book just came out it's called UNCOMMON CRIMINALS!Uncommon Criminals.
Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life. Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners.
There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long, and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous and that is simply… the emerald is cursed.
Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all she has her best friend—the gorgeous Hale—and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses, realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time.
Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules.

Looks good right? I absolutely loved this book, and the first one (Heist Society) and I'd tell you i love you but then I'd have to kill you and cross my heart and hope to spy and well all the other young-adult books by ally carter!
On the back of the cover on Uncommon Criminals it says "Praise for Heist Society" and E. Lockhart said "No one does teen girl action heroes like Ally Carter. Heist Society is an edge-of-your-sear caper with more twists than Oceans Eleven and cooler gadgets than Casino Royale. Also cuter guys than either one!" I don't know who E. Lockhart (it says he's ((she's)) some author) but i totally agree with him (her?)! I never got bored with these books! I was always on the edge of my seat (or something like that) And the cuter guys part! ahhhhh so true. Ever since i was little i read Trixie Belden books and i have had a crush on jim ( if you don't know who that is its OK!) until i started reading Anne of Green Gables and then i fell madly in love with Gilbert. My friend once sent me a button on facebook saying "Forget the Prince I want Gilbert!" o how i want a real button like that! But alas, i soon forgot about Gilbert and i heard myself saying "Forget Gilbert i want Zach!" who is a character introduced in the second book of the Gallagher Girls Series; Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy, but after reading Heist Society, I said forget Zach, i want Hale! Hale is like any girls dream guy minus being a prince,he's amazing.
It's like how some people has crushes on certain celebrities, i have crushes on fictional characters! Once while driving with my sister (she was driving i was in the passenger seat!) i saw a bumper sticker saying "HELP! I'm in love with i fictional character! I then knew i was not alone in the world! I told my sister when i get my own car that's going on it!
Well i think this post is pretty long so i think I'm going to stop typing! But if your in love with a fictional character please feel free to comment and tell me I'm not alone in the world! (or you can just comment on whatever!)

I want to read the rest of those books this summer :)
