Order of the Mystic Apes?

well everyone the time has finally come! THE TREES ARE NO LONGER GREEN!!!!!! YAY - and peppermint milkshakes are back at chick-fil-a! WHOOT WHOOT!!!

My week has been good so far, Sunday my family and I went to Fort Monroe (it was just made a historical location or national park) and I'm sorry for just now getting the photos up! I am the Queen of Procrastination! The best part of the day was when my older brother (Tyler, 17) tried to freak out my parents by making them think he fell in to the moat. He ended up sitting in a bed of thorny, cactus things... When he stood up he had over 20 of them pricking his bum! The old base had a museum that was housed in an old bunker (I think that's what they called it). It had a lot of cool historical stuff about the civil war (esp. about Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis), the only problem was alot of the entry ways in the museum were only about 5'6" tall. For my mom and sister it was fine, me i ducked because i was wearing a hat and my 6'3" brother and 6'5" father had to duck!
Right outside of the base is a small town called Phoebus and Hampton University is also there!

 After leaving Fort Monroe we drove for 5/10 minuts to look for the Emancipation Oak Tree ( <- click on that for the story of the emancipation oak).

Once we found it, we noticed a lot of older college looking guys hanging around; at first we thought nothing of it. Then when we went up to the tree, we noticed that there were maybe 15 or so guys all wearing black pants and a  red hoodie with the hood pulled low over their face's. They also had on a mask that made it look as if their face was painted. They were all wearing necklaces around their necks saying OMA. We think it may have been some Fraternity or Gang initiation. Knowing that Hampton Uni has one of the highest rates for shootings and murders and gangs/gang violence in the state/country, we quickly ran into our car laughing and freaking out!

 once we were in the car and away from what-ever it was we just saw my dad decided it was time we get something to eat. While looking i got on my moms phone and started looking up OMA Fraternitys/Gangs and all i came up with was a facebook page of a college Frat called Order of the Mystic Apes! But let me tell you - They were no mystic apes!

I should prob get to bed now! I just got back from a Roller Rink Party and I'm helping out with the Food Bank tomorrow morning! Have a great week everyone! o and can you please pray for my Voice teacher Mrs. B? She is going to be starting Chemo soon. Thanks!
