Its Japanese!!!!! {part i}

Hello Everyone!
So last week I said when the week was over I would post pictures from my tour on a Japanese ship that was in harbor in Norfolk, Va over near Nauticus {what is Nauticus? click on this link and click the question "what is Nauticus" http://www.nauticus.org/faq} I had an amazing time visiting this ship with my family! Everyone on the ship was so nice! Not everyone who worked on the ship spoke English, but I honestly think that made it even more awesome!!!!! The ship was only docked for the weekend and there were a lot of people on the 4 ships! After about 2 hours on the ships it started raining so we decided to go inside and look at the Nauticus naval museum!

 Here are some of the photos from our tour {or walk around the ship!}

These large capsules like thingies are all around the side of the ship! Thankfully the Japanese ship was much like an American ship so my Dad {who lived on a ship for 6 months} could tell us what most of the stuff was! When the ship is sinking or something these are released and fall into the water! Inside them are enough food and water for 25 people for like 1 or 2 weeks!

The ships ground is very slippery, so they paint a section of the floor that people most likely walk on with this grainy non-slide paint.

I don't know what the Japanese call him, but my Dad said his name was Oscar in the Navy! Somebody will throw him overboard and keep track of the time until someone in the crew spots him! It’s a drill to keep the crew on the lookout in case someone really does go overboard they will spot him before anything bad happens!

I hope this means lefty lousy, rightly tightly!

I need this on my door!!!! ;D jk jk

we thought this was so funny! see that sign in the back???? this is what it said!

please help yourself to the sushi bar! hahaha it was hiding in the back where they thought no one could see it! {there was no sushi bar when we were there!}
PARTY ON THE SHIP! lol

Me with the CO of the ship! { CO means Commanding Officer}

Blessings!
