I'm A Flip-Flop Kind of Gal
Hey Everybody!
So I'm sorry to upset you but this post is not about Flip-Flops! Although I truly love Flip-Flops, that's not what this post is about. ( sad face)
When I say "I'm A Flip-Flop Kind of Gal" i mean I change my mind a lot! ( and I mean A LOT!) My mind flips and flops back and forth so much. Anyway...... I think its only fair to warn you that my blog is going to be getting some remodeling done. I more familiar with blogger now and their tools and how to use every thing on the site. So, i want to personalize the page a little more and make it more me! Though i am very thankful to my cousin for helping get the blog to what it looks like now! I still love the background i have now.... I'm just tired of pink..... :D
I have had a blogger account since December of 08, but i never actually used the account until the beginning of June this year (2011), so not even a month ago, and i just want to change it up a little bit now that i know how to use every thing!
well that's all i have to say! have a blessed week!

P.S. I'm open to suggestions!

I'm a weird person + a really good book
Yesterday I was trying to finish this book i started reading on Friday called Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter. I was just getting to a good part of the book when my brother walked in. He didn't say anything just stood there leaning against my door frame. I guess he was trying to figure out what i was doing or why i was smiling so oddly. He never said anything, just stood there staring. I never noticed he was there, I especially did not notice him when i jumped out of bed and started to do that girl-ish scream/ jump thing like Christen Chenowith did in Bewitched (the movie) around my room! After jumping up and down for about 10 seconds i finally noticed him standing there... It was kinda odd. Safe to say next time i have an outburst while reading a book, (which happens a lot if I'm reading books by ally carter) i will make sure my door is closed (and locked). The funny thing? He still doesn't believe me when i say the reason i was so happy was because i got to a good part in the book i was reading! But then again how can he? He's a guy! Any way i thought i would talk about the book/ author a lil' bit!
Ally Carter. (author)
Uncommon Criminals.
Looks good right? I absolutely loved this book, and the first one (Heist Society) and I'd tell you i love you but then I'd have to kill you and cross my heart and hope to spy and well all the other young-adult books by ally carter!
On the back of the cover on Uncommon Criminals it says "Praise for Heist Society" and E. Lockhart said "No one does teen girl action heroes like Ally Carter. Heist Society is an edge-of-your-sear caper with more twists than Oceans Eleven and cooler gadgets than Casino Royale. Also cuter guys than either one!" I don't know who E. Lockhart (it says he's ((she's)) some author) but i totally agree with him (her?)! I never got bored with these books! I was always on the edge of my seat (or something like that) And the cuter guys part! ahhhhh so true. Ever since i was little i read Trixie Belden books and i have had a crush on jim ( if you don't know who that is its OK!) until i started reading Anne of Green Gables and then i fell madly in love with Gilbert. My friend once sent me a button on facebook saying "Forget the Prince I want Gilbert!" o how i want a real button like that! But alas, i soon forgot about Gilbert and i heard myself saying "Forget Gilbert i want Zach!" who is a character introduced in the second book of the Gallagher Girls Series; Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy, but after reading Heist Society, I said forget Zach, i want Hale! Hale is like any girls dream guy minus being a prince,he's amazing.
It's like how some people has crushes on certain celebrities, i have crushes on fictional characters! Once while driving with my sister (she was driving i was in the passenger seat!) i saw a bumper sticker saying "HELP! I'm in love with i fictional character! I then knew i was not alone in the world! I told my sister when i get my own car that's going on it!
Well i think this post is pretty long so i think I'm going to stop typing! But if your in love with a fictional character please feel free to comment and tell me I'm not alone in the world! (or you can just comment on whatever!)

Ally Carter. (author)
Ally Carter graduated from the Oklahoma State University and Cornell University. Her first young-adult novel (which was rumored to have been optioned by Disney as a film) was I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You. It is the story of a girl who goes to a prestigious spy school and what happens when she falls for a normal boy and has no idea who she really is inside. The sequel to I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You, titled Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy was released in 2007 in the US. It chronicles the second semester of Cammie Morgan's sophomore year and her "self-assigned" mission against the mysterious boys from another spy school who have moved into her own school unannounced. Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy was on the New York Times Bestseller List for 10 weeks. The third book of the Gallagher Girls series, Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover, is about Cammie and her friends' efforts to protect their friend Macey after a kidnapping attempt. It was released in June 2009 in the US.The fourth book of the Gallagher Girls series, Only the Good Spy Young, is about the aftermath of Cammie discovering that the Circle of Cavan is after her. There is a rumor that there will be a fifth Gallagher Girls book in the near future. Which made me ecstatic! I quickly went to the Ally Carter fan page and checked to see if it was true! and drummer roll please........ IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! i so want to do my happy dance! it is going to come out in March 2012..... sadly thats not for a year but i'm just glad another one is coming out!
Ally's second young-adult book/series separate from the Gallagher Girls is the story of a girl named Kat, with the title Heist Society, whose family business is thievery. Kat's father is suspected to have stolen a mafia group boss's paintings. The only way Kat can save her father is by finding who stole them and stealing them back. The sequel to this book just came out it's called UNCOMMON CRIMINALS!Uncommon Criminals.
Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life. Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners.
There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long, and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous and that is simply… the emerald is cursed.
Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all she has her best friend—the gorgeous Hale—and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses, realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time.
Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules.

Thor
Last night i saw the movie Thor for the first time. It was amazing! Thor is a powerful but arrogant warrior from the realm of Asgard. After disobeying his father he is cast out and sent to live on earth with the humans. His armor and powers were taken away from him by his father and sent to earth in the form of his famous hammer. Someone who is worthy of his powers will be able to lift the hammer and receive all of Thor's powers.
If you go to see Thor in theaters i suggest you watch Iron Man 2 before. If you have seen Iron man 2 and waited until after the credits you may remember seeing one of the body guard guys in the desert saying i think we found him and then showing a hammer! Every one thought it was going to be the start of another iron man, but it was the beginning of Thor! Also there are a little hints in the movie connecting it to Iron Man and if you go see the movie Thor, wait till after the credits. There is another scene! That's all I'm going to say about Thor, i don't want to ruin it for you. As for Iron Man if you saw the movie in theaters but did not see the after credits clip and you don't own it and you don't want to rent the movie, here is a link from youtube (to view click here) Its not very good quality but it was the best clip i could find on the site. It shows the scene after the credits. You will see the same scene in Thor. Enjoy the movie!
Random Facts:
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) is related to Liam Hemsworth from the last song.
Also Chris Hemsworth made an appearance on one of my favorite T.V. shows i watched a couple years ago called The Saddle Club!

My Pictures Of All Time!
I love Photography! You're freezing a moment and taking it with you the rest of your life (unless you accidentally delete the photo! :D). I'm always amazed at what i see through that lens! These photos are some that i have taken in the past that i truly love!
USS McFAUL
It is fleet week on one of the naval bases near my house so my Dad took the family and my cousins to see the ships! We got a personal tour on a Guided Missile Destroyer named the USS McFAUL! I have been on a carrier before but never a destroyer, it was very different! A destroyer is much smaller than a carrier. My father said " you could fit 5 destroyers in a carrier. I don't really know if he was being sarcastic or not when he said it, but, i believe him!
I'm posting 5 pictures i took of the boat with my Dad's camera! Unfortunately I my camera was dead and i did not like using his because there was no safety strap! So there are not a lot of pictures! But if you would like to learn more about the USS McFAUL you can go to a web site i will list at the end of this post!
The USS McFAUL : http://www.mcfaul.navy.mil/default.aspx
If you would just like to learn about Destroyers in general or a certain destroyer you can go to this web site. :http://www.navy.mil/navydata/fact_display.asp?cid=4200&tid=900&ct=4

Biology
One of the sorrows of being homeschooled is that my mom can choose to have me do school over the summer! This summer i am taking a Biology class by Apologia Science. The class is 11 weeks long and we will be doing all 14 chapters in the book! It was originally designed to be taken in a full school year, but that's just not going to happen. We will be doing a chapter a week, which is about 30 pages a week! (60 if we double up and do 2 chapters a week) Now that may not seem like a lot, but it is. These chapters were supposed to be done in 2 to 3 weeks, not a couple days! Thursday was my first day of class. Want to know what we did? Chapter 1! ALL OF CHAPTER 1!!!!!!!! That chapter was supposed to be done in 2 weeks, not 5 hours! i think i have the right to say my brain is officially fried! :) There are 8 people in the class, 5 girls, 3 boys, all homeschoolers and all really smart! I'm kinda scared by how smart they actually are! They are all my age, yet i feel they are years older... I don't really care for learning about consumers, and producers and other biology stuff! Science is not really my genre. But i am blessed to be doing it over the summer, and i am blessed to have a teacher that loves god and thinks we should skip the evolution chapter! I guess i should get back to reading about biology. We're going to Water Country USA tomorrow...

Duck =)
I recently stayed with some of my mother's family at a beach house in Duck, NC. Duck is amazing! and if you're looking for a quiet place to get away Duck is perfect! The houses there are adorable! Our house was a gray-ish 4 bedroom, 2 story house on the beach! We had an amazing view! There was a nice deck and we got to see the sun rise each morning (if we got up early enough)! My cousin MaryRachel and I always said to each other "If only we knew how to surf!" The waves are amazing! So large and playful! If someone asked me "what was your favorite part of vacation?" i would say "HIGH TIDE!" The waves are a little bit larger and its more fun to try and duck under them! You do have to be careful though because there is an under tow, no matter what time you go. Near the end of my stay we all went jet skiing! Who would have thought you're grandfather could go over 70 mph on a jet ski! You had to be 16 to drive, which is why i could not! But it was still amazing! We went back the next day so my sister and mother could do it too! (they came back to take my brother and i home) We ended up renting 3 of the jet ski's and my grandfather, cousin and i all tried to fit on one! It was hilarious! Here are some of my favorite pictures from our stay
